Calibration – will answer this question for you!
Calibration is the comparison of a measurement device (Transducer)
against a standard. A calibration is performed to determine how
far the device is from the standard. A calibration is performed
on all the system components
It is extremely important to calibrate and maintain solid dosage
equipment to maximize the value of your investment. To keep these
systems and products operating correctly and at their most efficient,
they require regular, expert calibration and maintenance.
Traditionally an in-house department performed these services.
However, the high standard of maintenance required on increasingly
complex products and systems has proved difficult and expensive.
As a result, more and more companies are delegating their calibration
and maintenance to outside experts.
SMI will tailor an annual calibration and maintenance contract
based on your individual needs and requirements.
Benefits:
- Availability of a fully trained staff is guaranteed
- System upgrading is at preferential rates
- Routine preventative maintenance
- Access to specialists with experience in instrumentation
- Recurrent Training
Compliance levels may
need to be maintained and demonstrated as an important part
of compliance with GMP. Instrumentation must be calibrated regularly
by qualified personnel, using test instruments with a fully
traceable calibration.
The maximum benefits
are achieved through long-term co-operative relationships where
SMI personnel are familiar with your installation, applications,
processes and scientists. We will provide reports on what has
been done, what will need to be done in the future and a time
frame for completion.
