The DSP, a digital signal processor is installed
in one of the PCI slots within computer. The DSP is used to convert
the voltages into engineering units, perform the tarring function
and perform software filtering. The DSP greatly alleviates the
computational burden from the main CPU in the computer allowing
The Director to collect an unlimited quantity of data while still
offering real time displays.The
minimum computer requirement is a 400 m-Hertz Pentium II processor
with 128 MB of ram. The monitor resolution must be at least equivalent
to XGA.
Single Station Tablet Press Module
This module has built in subprograms to perform these specific
functions:
Detailed analysis of a single compaction event
Compact porosity as a function of applied pressure
Heckel Plots
Force displacement and resulting work graphs
Residual radial die wall
All this data can be obtained with a few grams
of material.
The strength of the Single Station Tablet Press is the ability
to gain a tremendous insight about the compaction properties
of a potential formulation while making only one tablet. A measured
weight of material is spoon fed into the die and the press run
to form a compact. The Director software system will collect
the data from the transducers and present the information useful
to a pharmaceutical scientist. Based on the analysis capabilities
of the Director System, projections can easily be made as to
the expected performance of a formulation with only a few grams
of material.
Complete Data Acquisition and Analysis System designed to simplify the tableting Research and Development (R&D) process. Notably useful for Single Station data analysis, including Heckel plots, Porosity, Force Displacement and Work curves.
