The Comasa MIC 1-10 High Shear Wet Granulator is the high intensity, high shear mixer granulator from SMI’s line of specialty equipment for R&D. GMP compliant, featuring stainless steel construction of the frame, bowls, impellors and choppers. The tulip shaped bowl and impellor design provides a constant acceleration of the product, making for a homogeneous blending operation while directing the material towards the high speed chopper blades. With interchangeable bowls, ranging in sizes of 1, 3, 5, and 10 liters, batch sizes from 150 grams to 2 kg can easily be produced.

Additionally, the Comasa MIC 1-10 High Shear Wet Granulator has hot melt capability with double jacketed bowls. The granulator is self contained, including thermostatically controlled heating elements, a pressure pump and interchangeable spray nozzles to introduce liquid into the bed. A surface mounted PLC touch screen provides all of the control functions as well as a product memory.

Add The "Director" from SMI into the mix for additional and powerful formulation development. This comprehensive instrumentation package includes impellor torque, power, and an infrared temperature sensor to measure the granulation bed temperature.
