The PLC driven Piccola Nova with its 6 ton compression capabilities and pre compression system can produce a maximum of 60,000 tablets per hour.
 
The Piccola Nova is available in standard B or D tooling. 
 
The Piccola Nova is controlled through an integrated high industrial 15” touch screen computer.
With all the moving cams and rolls measured and displayed allows for quick set up repeatability.
 
The Piccola Nova with The Director data acquisition and analysis system will shorten development time. Detailed analysis of individual compression events enhances the understanding of the compaction process. SMI instrumentation of ejection and take off forces can assist in lubrication studies. Compaction Profiles are generated in minutes.
 

The Piccola Nova with its larger turret diameter, pre compression and variable speed allow for realistic scale up to larger rotary presses. The dual paddle feed system helps maintain uniform die fill and represents production equipment. With the large variable speed range and The Director, strain rate sensitivity studies will predict how the formulation will behave in production.

The Special Edition can run as single tip for development studies and multi-tip for production runs with an output rate of 2.28 million tablets per hour.

Piccola Bilayer

The Piccola Bilayer press is the only bilayer press designed for R&D.

 

It provides an 11 to 17 station B and D tooling press with 10 tons of compression force, PLC controls, and can produce up to 54,000 tablets per hour.
