The Piccola Classic with its 6 ton compression capabilities and pre compression system can produce a maximum of 60,000 tablets per hour.
 
The Piccola Classic is available in standard B or D tooling.  
 
The Piccola Classic with The Director data acquisition and analysis system will shorten development time. Detailed analysis of individual compression events enhances the understanding of the compaction process. SMI instrumentation of ejection and take off forces can assist in lubrication studies. Compaction Profiles are generated in minutes.
 

The Piccola Classic with its larger turret diameter, pre compression and variable speed allow for realistic scale up to larger rotary presses. The dual paddle feed system helps maintain uniform die fill and represents production equipment. With the large variable speed range and The Director, strain rate sensitivity studies will predict how the formulation will behave in production.

Piccola Bilayer

The Piccola Bilayer press is the only bilayer press designed for R&D.

 

It provides an 11 to 17 station B and D tooling press with 10 tons of compression force, PLC controls, and can produce up to 54,000 tablets per hour.
